Now, what is an undertone?
Undertone is a shade that is beneath your surface tone which might be fair, dusky, or dark. Surface tone or skin tone changes and can be different for every person according to blood flow, sun exposure, or pigmentation. It means that you might have a different surface tone at different times but the undertones is a subtle shade underneath your surface tone that always remains the same.
There are three types of undertones: –

Roll up your sleeves to see the color of the veins on your wrists, if they appear blue you have a cool undertone and if they appear green you have a warm undertone. They are not green in actuality but they appear green because of the yellow shade that combines with the blue color of your veins to make it look green as a combination of both colors.
If you are unable to see the true color of your veins whether they are blue or green and they are a blend of both, you are a neutral skin tone.
The other method is to look by the shade of your hair color and the shade of your eyes.

If you have ashy (grey), blue eye color and black hair you have a cool undertone, and if you have a light brown and golden hair color with brown eyes you have a warm undertone.
