Falafel wraps

Falafel, very popular in Middle Eastern Countries is said to
have originated in Egypt. These are deep-fried balls or patties made with fava
beans or chic peas along with coriander and spices. Falafel wraps are a great
option for lunches as it is high in protein and full of flavor.

 

Ingredients

 

2 cup-soaked chic peas

1 cup chopped coriander

4 to 5 cloves of garlic

2 tablespoons of lemon juice

1 ½ tablespoons of paprika

½ cup chic pea flour

Salt according to taste preferably 1 ½ teaspoon

Cumin 1 tablespoon

Diced onion 2 small

Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon chili powder

Tortilla wraps

Sour Cream

Iceberg lettuce

Pickled onions

Recipe

Firstly, take chic peas and soak them overnight, drain the
water properly until no residue water left. Now, add them into the food processor,
with all the seasonings salt, chili, cumin, paprika, pepper, lemon juice along garlic.
Put diced onions, chopped coriander, and chic pea flour also, and blend all the
ingredients until they are coarse and start to bind. You can also add more chic
pea flour if there the mixture is a bit runny or hard to bind. Shape the mixture
into medium-sized balls or the size of meatballs and freeze them for about 40
minutes before frying. Take oil for deep frying and add the falafel balls into
hot oil and cook until medium dark brown or cooked from both sides.

Take tortilla wraps, and add pickled veggies, sour cream,
and falafel to them. Fold it into a wrap and your falafel wraps are ready. You
can also store them in the freezer. Moreover, they are a perfect snack to have with beetroot hummus anytime you want.
