
Chocolate Pistachio Kunafa Bites
Everyone is talking about these viral Kunafa desserts so we also had to try these Chocolate pistachio Kunafa bites. They taste so good and are easy to make at home on a budget, do try these and you will forget spending on expensive sweet stores.
The recipe and the ingredients are given below: –
1 small cup of unsalted pistachios
3 to 4 pitted dates
1 cup of kunafa or vermicelli (seviyan)
1 cup cooking chocolate (dark)
2 tablespoons of condensed milk or cream
Chopped walnuts or almonds for garnishing (optional)
2 drops of vanilla essence (optional)
3 tablespoons of butter
Recipe
Firstly, soak the pitted dates in hot water for about 20 minutes. Then take the pistachios and dry roast them in a pan until they give a nutty smell. Add the pistachios in a spice blender to form a coarse powder first then add soaked dates, condensed milk or cream, and essence. Blend the mixture until it has a smooth creamy texture and set aside.
Take 3 tablespoons of butter and roast the chopped vermicelli or kunafa in a pan until they are dark golden brown or crispy. Cool the roasted kunafa and mix it with pistachio cream.
Take small portions of the mixture and place them onto a butter paper. Cool them in a freezer until they are firm and then coat them with dark chocolate, melted in a double boiler. Let them set, in the freezer for about an hour or two again, and top them with chopped almonds and walnuts, as you like.
Chocolate pistachio kunafa bites are ready to enjoy! They are a perfect treat but with a portion size, also you can make a batch and store them in the freezer.
