Traditional education system vs Homeschooling Trend in Pakistan
Each one of us is entitled to go to school and get good grades, no matter how tough it is to manage under traditional education system. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could choose how to learn? The world would become a better place if each one has the freedom to enjoy the process of learning.
One such emerging trend in societies is homeschooling which means that the children learn from communities and centers other than the school. There instructors or parents educate them with resources which they gather from various platforms.
Homeschooling is now widely accepted in countries like the USA but in Pakistan, it is still a debatable subject whether to choose it as an option or not.
Surprisingly, the research done on homeschooling trends has shown positive results in most of the cases. The students who were homeschooled are seen as having much brighter and more positive personalities.

How Homeschooling is better than Traditional Education System?
The idea of schools in our mind is of a confined space with strict regulations which are penalized, if not obey. There is a specifically designed curriculum that has to be ingrained in the minds of students ,whether they want to learn or not.
There are certain beliefs that God forbid if a child stays or learns outside a traditional education system he may be some sort of an alienated personality. We claim that they will never be able to catch up with children who were trained in schools. Learning is not only the ritual of going to an institution and rots learn every concept.
There is only a need to provide a setting in the community to learn and practice a concept later as a skill. This idea can change the whole dimension of the educational process in our societies.
If we provide all the materials and resources to our children other than schools, they will end up learning and creating something on their own. It won’t matter how difficult it is. Human mind learns with hit and trial method naturally.
The other reason is the attendance criteria, a student has to be present for a specific percentage to learn from schools.
Homeschooling provides the freedom of activity and choice to learn according to a schedule that suits a child and his parents. They can plan trips, vacations, and events with a schedule that does not disrupt their process of learning.
The unending race and competition among students are common in every class group . We have set grades as a parameter of effective learning. However, this is not the case, it is seen in most cases that students who are homeschooled are more wise. Such students are competitive, and successfully pursue their career.

-
Better Familial Bonding
Familial bonds, parent-child, and sibling relationship is seen to grow strong in families who pursue homeschooling. Mothers and guardians know better about the interests and weaknesses of their children and can address them in a better way.
-
Reduced Financial Burden
Financial burden can also be lowered by homeschooling, resources and material that are necessary can be provided, eliminating unnecessary expenditures . You can cut down on expenses that are a compulsion to pay when children are part of schools.
-
Proper guidance and attention
Tutors and guardians can give proper guidance and attention to the children which is required of them. However, in traditional schools, there are a good number of students in every class. Teachers and tutors can’t give attention to every child in a certain period hence children find it difficult to learn.
Children with special needs can also learn if they are given due attention. It becomes easy for parents and family to understand their needs and behavioral complexities.
-
Disciplined and healthy Families
Families who follow homeschooling become more disciplined and develop healthy routines, which ultimately results in better health and awareness.

With uncertain conditions in the World around us it can be a feasible option and we can choose homeschooling for sure. Moreover, the guardians especially mothers should be granted the right to choose whether they want their kids to be homeschooled.
Eventually, Mothers are the caregivers of the kids and often are forced to homeschool kids whether they are ready for the process. The decision to homeschool should always be made with the consent of parents and students.
If parents opt for homeschooling ,both parents should take responsibility for the process of learning. Especially fathers should equally participate and know where children need support at every step.
